Sour Poha/ Gojju Avalakki
Gojju Avalakki is something which reminds me of my childhood.When i was young i always used to wait for krishna janmashtami so that i would get this gojju avalakki from temples and neighbors who used to 

celebrate the festival.Its been like so many ages i didn't eat this.Yesterday i was fasting and Gp was me to prepare something light on stomach but tasty to eat. I dint wanted to cook anything using onion or garlic so i decided to prepare gojju avalakki quickly i called up my mom  and took recipe from her and prepared.After performing pooja i had this gojju avalakki and it totally reminded me my childhood days.It makes me feel so good to go back to those good old days.Very simple recipe with basic ingredients.

Thick Poha/Beaten Rice: 2 Cups
Water: 1 1/3 Cup
Tamarind: Lemon Size
Mustard Seeds: 1/2 Tsp
Curry Leaves: 2 Strings
Red chillies: 2 Broken
Peanuts: 2 Tbsp
Urud Dal:1 Tsp
Channa Dal:1 Tsp
Jaggery:1 Tsp
Asafoetida/Hing : Pinch
Sambhar Powder/ Curry Powder: 1Tbsp + 1 Tsp
Oil: 3 Tbsp
Salt: 2 Tsp
Cobra:2 Tbsp

Soak tamarind in warm water.Dry roast poha(beaten rice) for 2 minutes and grind it to coarse,don't keep the mixer on more than 5 seconds repeat twice so that poha should be corse and should look similar to daliya (Broken Wheat).Extract the tamarind juice and add sambhar powder,hing,jaggery and  1 tsp salt and stir it well. Now add this mixture to poha and keep it aside for 5 minutes so that poha absorbs all the water completely.

Now take a pan add oil once its hot add mustard seeds ,peanuts,urud dal, channa dal, curry leaves and red chillies for this add poha ,mix it well and cook for 4-5 minutes stirring occasionally.

FInally add grated cobra.(You can even grind it into powder along with 1 Tsp of white sesame seeds and you can add).

Gojju Avalakki / Sour Poha will be ready to serve.
