MoongDal Rice/Hesarubelle Anna
My friend Vani was asking for an easy and simple recipe which can be packed for lunch.So i thought of

posting this recipe as it is very simple and perfect for lunch box.Doing pongal  from moong daal is pretty common, but this is slightly different from those traditional pongal with only few basic ingredients.

Ingredients:
Category: Vegetarian | Prep Time:5 minutes
Cooking Time:20 Minutes | Serves:2

Moong Dal: 1/3 Cup
Rice:1 Cup
Water:2 Cups
Onion:2 Medium
Tomato:1 
Green Chillies : 4 -5
Black Peppercorns:1/2 Tsp
Fresh Coconut: 1/2 Tbsp
Turmeric:3/4 Tsp
Oil:2 Tbsp
Coriander Leaves:1 Tbsp
Lemon Juice:1 Tsp 
Salt to Taste

Method:
Soak rice for 10 minutes,drain water and keep aside.Wash Moongdal and keep it aside.Shred onions,slit green chilies,cut coconut into small bits and  finely chop tomatoes.
Take a pressure cooker ,add oil ,black peppercorns,onion,chilies ,moongdal and saute for 5 minutes.Add tomatoes,small bits of coconut ,turmeric and fry well.



    Now add rice and saute for a minute,add hot water,salt and pressure cook for a whistle.


   
    Once pressure is released on its own add  lemon juice, coriander leaves and serve.
