  • 5 tablespoon jaggery powdered or as required
  • 5 cups water or as required
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1-2 pinch black salt

  • Scoop out the pulp of the fruit into a bowl. I got around 1 cup of fruit pulp.
  • Add powdered jaggery or any sweetener of your choice.
  • Add 1 cup of water to soak the pulp. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, strain and extract the juice completely from pulp.
  • Now add in black salt, cardamom powder and add-on’s if any (black pepper powder and cumin powder)
  • Stir well , add 4 cups of chilled water. Taste and adjust sweetener, if required.
  • Serve in a tall glass with some ice cubes and mint leaves .

Notes

  • Soaking wood apple pulp in water makes the whole process of extracing juice easier.
