Take 2 large onions , trim edges ,remove skin and cut into ¼ inch thick slice.
Apply gentle pressure at the center of sliced onions and separate into rings.
In a bowl take all purpose flour , corn flour , chili powder , black pepper powder , mixed herbs , salt and mix well.
Add about ¼ cup to ⅓ cup of water part by part and make a smooth spoon dropping consistency batter.
Now take about ¾ - 1 cup of bread crumbs on a plate , add ¼ teaspoon of pepper powder ,mix well and set aside.
Now dip onion rings in batter .
With help of tongs or fork remove it from batter and roll on bread crumbs.
Again one more time dip the coated onion ring in batter and coat with bread crumbs and set aside on a plate.
Repeat the same procedure for all the onion rings.
Drop in coated onion rings in hot oil and fry on medium heat .
When it turns crisp and golden , drain excess oil , remove and place on a absorbent paper.
Without crowding the pan , likewise fry remaining onion rings in small batches.
Serve Onion rings as an appetizer / snack along with some tomato ketchup.
