Turmeric Milk Recipe

Turmeric milk is a traditional healthy Indian drink made with milk, turmeric powder and some warm spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon organic turmeric powder
  • teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 “ inch cinnamon stick
  • 2 pods green cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon ghee/ clarified butter
  • Honey to taste optional

Instructions

  • In a sauce pan boil 1 cup of whole milk .
  • When milk boils completely add turmeric powder , black pepper powder , cinnamon and cardamom pods.
  • When everything boils and froths up , turn off the stove and set sauce pan aside .
  • Let milk warms down , strain milk with a strainer.
  • Now add ghee and honey , stir well everything.
  • Serve/ sip warm before bed time.
