I had brought Spring onions 2 days before and was lying in  my refrigerator,so thought of doing some side dish out of it for Roti. My friend  Aarti used to do something similar to

this using capsicum so i did the same Using Spring Onions.And modified little bit to suit my taste.It tasted real delicious and i just loved it. So thought of blogging this recipe ! Its very simple and cooks within 10 minutes.Do give a try !

Spring Onions Chopped:3-4 Cups

Gram Flour/Chick Peas Flour:1/2 Cup
Red Chilly Powder:1 Tsp
Turmeric:1/2 Tsp
Garam Masala:1/2 Tsp
Jeera Powder:1/2 Tsp
Oil:2-3 Tsp
Mustard Seeds:1/2 Tsp
Jeera/Cumin Seeds:1 Tsp
Salt to Taste
Black Pepper Powder:1 Tsp (Crushed coarse)
Lemon Juice:1/2 Tsp


Wash and chop green onions along with its white part.Take a nonstick pan,heat oil,add mustard seeds once it splutters add Jeera / Cumin Seeds.

Add Chopped spring onions and saute for 2 minutes.Add turmeric,red chilly powder,garam masala,jeera powder,and salt.Mix everything and saute for a minute.

For this add Gram Flour/Chickpeas Flour and saute till it blends well,reduce the heat and cook for 4-5 minutes.Finally add Black Pepper Powder and  Lemon Juice.

Serve hot with chapathi or just you can eat it alone!
