    Dry Vegetable Manchuri

Winter has already started and evenings are cold enough to treat our taste buds with something spicy and delicious.

Gp came from office bit early and was asking for some good chinese like Gobi manchuria ,i quickly looked into my pantry and did not find any cauliflower over there,So i decided to do a  dry vegetable manchuria, this is the first time i did veg manchuri  still it turned out pretty good. If you like to have some Chinese then you can definitely treat your palate with this vegetable manchuri which very easy and simple to do yet delicious.

    Ingredients:

Category: IndoChinese | Prep Time:5 Min
    Cooking Time:15 Min    | Serves:2

    Cabbage: ½ medium size

    Carrot:2
    French Beans:8-10
    Onion:1 Medium
    Green Capsicum:1 Large
Ginger Garlic (GG) Paste: 1 Tbsp +1 Tsp
    Spring Onions: ¼ Cup Chopped
    Garlic:4-5 Cloves finely Chopped
    Spring Onions White: 2 Tbsp
    Corn Flour:2 Tbsp
    Maida(All Purpose Flour): 2 Tbsp
    Redchilly Powder: 1 teaspoon (optional)
    Soy Sauce:1 Tsp
    White Vinegar: 1 Tsp
    Ajinomoto(MSG): Pinch
    Tomato Sauce: 2 Tbsp
Oil: For deep frying + 1 Tsp
    Salt to taste

    Method:

Once you decide to do anything which involves deep fry first you keep the oil for heating on medium heat.So that by the time we complete the preparations oil will be hot enough to fry.Wash all the vegetables and grate cabbage and carrot, finely chop french beans, spring onions and garlic.Cut  onion and capsicum into cube chunks and set aside.Take cabbage, carrot and beans and sprinkle some salt and keep aside for 5 minutes so that we can squeeze out all water from it.

Use the squeezed water to prepare a thick paste(keep it thick as it gets diluted once you add veggies) of cornflour,maida,1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder,ajinomotta,2 drops of soy sauce( i do this to get color) and very little salt. Now mix the grated vegetable mixture to the above corn-maida paste.Make small balls out of it.

By now oil will be ready and we can deep fry these vegetable balls till we get golden brown color  Now take a pan ,put  1Tsp oil add  GG paste ,garlic bits, onions, spring onion white finely chopped and fry on high heat add capsicum saute for a minute and add fried vegetable balls and all the sauces mix it well. Finally add chopped spring onions and serve hot 🙂
