Since very long time there was a request for this Paneer Butter masala and unfortunately i was keep on postponing for one or the other reason to post this recipe. Now finally i’m
here with this rich and flavourful recipe of paneer butter masala.This is a must recipe for all Paneer lovers.I don’t claim this to be authentic paneer butter masala,but it tastes really good.I have tried many recipes of paneer butter masala,but this one tastes very similar to that we get in restaurant.Smooth,rich and flavourful,give a try!

Prep Time:8 Minutes| Cooking Time:15 Minutes|Serves:3-4

Paneer/Cottage Cheese: 200 grams
Butter:1Tbsp +1 Tbsp
Oil:1 Tsp
Cinnamon:1 ” Stick
Bay Leaf:1
Dried Red Chillies:2
Coriander Seeds:3/4 Tbsp
Onion:1 Medium
Tomato:3 Medium- Large
Ginger Garlic Paste:2 Tsp
Coriander Powder:1/2 Tsp
Red Chilly Powder:1/2 Tsp
Cashew:2 Tbsp
Kasoori Methi:1/2 Tbsp
Honey:1/2 Tsp
Fresh Cream:1 Tbsp
Salt To Taste

Heat 1 Tsp oil,fry paneer cubes ,once it turns golden yellow soak in water and set aside till you use.(This step is optional,you can skip this step and use paneer directly)

Heat oil and 1 Tbsp butter in a non stick pan,add bay leaf,cinnamon,clove,dry red chilly,coriander seeds and saute for a minute.

Then add Onion,ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell disappears.Add Tomato,salt and fry till its skin starts to shrink.Add red chilly powder,coriander powder and mix well.

Once its cooled,discard the bay leaf and grind into smooth paste without adding water.

In the same pan,take remaining butter,add grounded paste,saute for a minute.

Add 1 Cup of water to mixer  and rinse the jar well and add this water  to the above masala and allow it to cook on medium heat,Adjust salt and cook for 2 -3 minutes

Soak Cashews in warm water for 10 minutes,grind to a smooth paste and add it to the above masala,add paneer cubes.Keep on sim and cook for 5 minutes.Once it reaches the required consistency,turn off the heat.

Add fresh cream,Kasoori methi and honey.

Serve hot with Garlic Naan,Roti,Kulcha,Peas Pulao .
