Now don’t laugh at my stupidity….. 🙁 .Let me speak about the good orange cake……,Wow truely simply,easy and tasty along with that low fat tooooooo,what more you need to bake this cake.A real good,soft ,moist orange cake.I really loved the flavour and texture……..,which i’ll be baking more often in future.Please excuse me for all the bad pictures ,i have clicked 🙁 🙁 🙁 The original recipe is from Martha Stewart Blog
Butter Unsalted for greasing Pan Method: Preheat the oven to 180 deg celecius.Grease the 8″ inch cake pan with butter and keep it aside.
Sift all purpose flour,sugar baking powder,soda and salt,thrice and place dry this dry ingredients in a bowl.
Now whisk all the wet ingredients yogurt,oil,egg,orange juice,orange zest and vanilla extract in a bowl.Fold in the wet mixture into the flour mixture,i.e,to the dry ingredients.Don’t over do folding ,just everything should mix together well.
Pour into a butter greased pan,and bake around 25 minutes ,until toothpick/knife inserted at the centre comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack. Dust a 1 Tbsp of sugar on top of the cake and serve with segmented thin orange strips ,which is purely optional and i skipped this 🙂
This cake is a perfect tea time cake .
